As part of the Syracuse Architecture graduate program’s yearlong exploration of “speculative realism,” the first in a series of public events was held on November 1 at the Fisher Center, the School’s new studio space in New York City. A workshop and lecture by Graham Harman, a founding member of “speculative realism” and Distinguished University Professor at the American University in Cairo, led a workshop during the day and presented at a lecture in the evening. Guest instructors and architecture students from Yale, Cooper Union, NJIT, and PennDesign also participated in the event.
