However, following New York State recommendations related to large gatherings and in an abundance of care for your family and ours, we have made the decision to suspend all campus visits, student-led tours, and admissions programming until further notice.

Please know how much we wish we could see you in person. Architectural education is unlike any type of education you’ve likely encountered to date. Virtual Information sessions for prospective students

Sessions last 1.5 hours and include information on the educational path of an architect, our BArch program, studio culture, the application process, and portfolio submission.

Programming is offered on Tuesdays at 10:00am ET, as well as various Wednesday and Thursday evenings at 7:00pm ET throughout the fall semester.

VIRTUAL DAY IN the life of an architecture student

Wondering what an architecture student does throughout the day? Can’t visit campus but curious what it looks like within the walls of Slocum Hall?

Every year, the School of Architecture welcomes a variety of lecturers featuring renowned architects, faculty from various institutions, and other prominent figures. We invite you to join these events to learn more about the field and explore what our current students are experiencing.

A portfolio is a required part of your application to the School of Architecture. After completing your Common Application, you must submit your portfolio online via SlideRoom. Due to COVID-19, we will not be offering in-person portfolio reviews this year. Instead, you may register for an online portfolio review. An online portfolio review is not a requirement.

This interview is an opportunity for you to meet with our architecture admissions team and provide us with insight as to why you are interested in studying architecture, describe the portfolio work that you chose to include, and express your interest in studying at our prestigious institution. If you do choose to present your portfolio virtually, you may do so by scheduling an appointment*.  

Online reviews take place Monday through Friday until December 15 with a member of the architecture admissions committee. Please note, if you are applying Early Decision, the review would need to take place by November 15 to meet the ED application deadline.
