The school has digital projectors and TVs distributed throughout Slocum Hall. Some of the TVs are on mobile carts and can be signed out from either the main office or the IT office.

Digital Projectors
  • Classrooms and studios
    • Rooms 004, 014, 101, 104, 106, 108, 124, 126, 208, 314, 401, 404, 414) have one or two ceiling mounted NEC NP2150 projectors. A VGA cable and various adapters should be in each room. If either is missing or not working, please contact the IT Staff in Room 001 or email archit@syr.edu. Native resolution of these projectors is 1024x768 and the aspect ratio is 4:3.
    • Rooms 202, 307, 325 have ceiling mounted Panasonic PT-RZ570WU projectors. An HDMI cable and various adapters should be in each room. If either is missing or not working, please contact the IT Staff in Room 001 or email archit@syr.edu. Native resolution of these projectors is 1920x1080 and the aspect ratio is 16:10.
  • Slocum Auditorium (Room 214) has a ceiling mounted Christi DHD951 projector with a native resolution of 1920x1080 and an aspect ratio of 16:9. 
  • Room 224 (projector wall): three short-throw Epson BrightLink 485Wi projectors displaying a merged desktop of 3840x800 pixels. A computer station is located in the room and is used to display presentations (you can’t plug in a laptop).
  • Room 402 (projector wall): three short-throw NEC U310W projectors displaying a merged desktop of 3840x800 pixels. A computer station is located in the room and is used to display presentations (you can’t plug in a laptop). Reserve the room at the main office.

LED/LCD TVs

  • Sign out from main office: Sony 65” display (model XBR-x900e) - native resolution 3840x2160; aspect ratio 16:9. Set the Input to HDMI 1 for a laptop. The cart also has a combo DVD/VHS unit and a Blu-Ray player.
  • Sign out from the IT office:
    • Dell 55” touch display (model CT5518QT) - native resolution 3820X2160; aspect ratio 16:9. There is a Windows computer mounted on the back of the screen. You can use the USB cable to attach your memory stick or external hard drive. The keyboard has an integrated trackball (mouse).
    • Samsung 55” 4K display (model UN55MU9000FXZA) - native resolution 3840x2160; aspect ratio 16:9. HDMI is the only connection type supported.
    • Samsung 55” 4K display (model UN55JU6500FXZA) - native resolution 3840x2160; aspect ratio 16:9. HDMI is the only connection type supported.
    • Insignia 26” display with integrated DVD player (model NS-LDVD26Q-10A) - 1366x768; 16:9 - quantity 7
  • Room 208: two Samsung 55” 4K displays (model UN55MU7000F) - native resolution is 3840x2160; aspect ratio is 16:9. HDMI only. Mounted on mobile carts. Grad student use only. These displays are not to be removed from 208.
  • Room 224: Samsung 55” 4K display (model UN55MU7000F) - native resolution is 3840x2160; aspect ratio is 16:9. HDMI only. Mounted on mobile cart. Grad student use only. This display is not to be removed from 224.
  • King + King Library: Two Sony 85” 4K displays (model XBR85X850D) - native resolution is 3840x2160; aspect ratio is 16:9. Screens are wall mounted and display a mirrored image (or use Solstice app to show different content on each display). Requires laptop.
  • Room 308: NEC 55” LCD display (model P551-AVT) - native resolution is 1920x1080; aspect ratio is 16:9. Screen is locked in place.
  • Room 324: NEC 55” LCD display (model P551-AVT) - native resolution is 1920x1080; aspect ratio is 16:9. Screen is locked in place.
