Mick McConnell, Creative Director, R/GA, is a multi-disciplinary architect, retail design leader, digital director and educator, with management experience in corporate retail management, architecture, environmental graphics, brand strategy, interactive design, digital strategy, graphic design, teaching and advertising. Active in education as visiting professor, critic and lecturer, McConnell co-taught at Syracuse in 2010 and 2011 for Danny Forster’s studio. An award-winning author of LAX, The Los Angeles Experiment, McConnell has worked with leading corporations, architects, agencies, and design firms both in-house and as a consultant. Known in circles as the expert that can find the right people to get things done, McConnell’s experience in complex systems and projects has led to new and exciting solutions for architects, online experiences, and product design.
