Kevin Murrett, AIA, is the founding partner of Architectural Resources with offices in his native Buffalo, NY and New York City. A diversified practice with strong emphasis on technology and workplace culture, A|r has quietly grown beyond its upstate roots to be nationally recognized in the areas of healthcare design, multifamily and student housing, and secondary education. A|r affiliates provide design, construction, and facility management technology solutions through its Digital Services Group, and elevator and theater lift designs through its Vertical Transportation Group.
With a personal commitment to supportive needs populations Kevin leads the firm’s work in behavioral health design research, standards development and project execution. He speaks frequently on the role of design in creating safe, therapeutic and effective mental health and addictions treatment environments, particularly for children and youth.
Kevin and his wife Michele live in Buffalo where he serves on the boards of GoBike Buffalo, advocating for cycling infrastructure, safety and active lifestyles, and the BYC Foundation supporting youth sailing.
