Korantemaa Larbi


Korantemaa Larbi ’12 (M.Arch.) is the founder and editor-in-chief for Design233, an online publication highlighting the architecture, art and design of Africa and the African Diaspora. She is also the creative director of her namesake product design studio, www.korantemaalarbi.com, which focuses on the research and making of contemporary Ghanaian and African-inspired furnishings.

Larbi is a designer at Deborah Berke Partners in New York City and has previously worked in high-end residential architecture on Long Island with Stelle Lomont Rouhani Architects.

She holds dual master of architecture degrees from Syracuse University and the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana. Her interests are in urban design, in how cultures shape the built environment. Through her publication Design233, Larbi offers a platform for the documentation and dialogue on design from the African continent.
