Black History Month: “House of Boyde” Exhibition Opening

Curated by the Syracuse Chapter of the National Organization of Minority Architecture Students (NOMAS) in partnership with Bero Architecture, the Rochester Museum & Science Center and the Greece Historical Society

The Syracuse Chapter of the National Organization of Minority Architecture Students (NOMAS) seeks to embrace and integrate diversity and inclusion into the design field by highlighting selected archival works of Thomas W. Boyde Jr. ’28 (B.Arch), the first Black graduate from Syracuse University’s School of Architecture and the first Black architect in Rochester, N.Y.

The re-discovery of Thomas W. Boyde Jr.’s archival work is a unique opportunity to discuss the impact of early Black designers. Syracuse NOMAS is proud to present House of Boyde, a comprehensive exhibition of Boyde’s life and work.
