In a session moderated by Dean Speaks, Pat O’Brien will discuss his career path and his contributions in the design of over 300 stores throughout his tenure at Apple.

Pat O’Brien ’94 (B.Arch.)

Pat O’Brien is Senior Director of Development at Apple Inc. Over the last 15 years with Apple, Pat has helped to lead the rollout of over 300 Flagship and rollout stores worldwide. He has built projects throughout Europe, Asia, and the Americas. He leads a team of highly diverse managers, specialists, and consultants that produce a body of buildings that continually receive restoration and innovation awards throughout the world. Mr. O’Brien is passionate about design, construction, craftsmanship, team building, and complex problem-solving.

Pat graduated from Syracuse University, School of Architecture in 1994. He then worked for several retailers and architectural firms both designing and building retail stores. He is a registered architect in New York and holds an MBA in Finance and IT from Fordham University.

Mr. O’Brien currently resides in San Jose, California with his wife and two children. In his free time, he enjoys the outdoors, his beloved 1976 Ford Bronco, and spending time with his family.
