Deo Deiparine

Deo Deiparine is a designer and educator whose work focuses on decommodified land tenure and the social dynamics of built form. With Outside Development, he contributed design research and assistance on a long-term decarbonization strategy for a prospective Community Land Trust in Southern California. He is the founder of the project exhibition space, Free Paarking, where he organized nine exhibitions in St. Louis.

Prior to joining Syracuse, Deo taught undergraduate studios at the Cooper Union, teaching the close reading of architectural precedent through formal analysis. His previous experience includes collaborating on civic, cultural, and educational projects as a project manager at aanda architects, as well as preservation work with Platt Byard Dovell White. He completed his undergraduate degree at Washington University in St. Louis and holds a Masters of Architecture degree from Yale University.
