Nan Wang


Nan Wang is a multidisciplinary designer and strategist working across graphic design, branding, fashion, industrial design, and photography. Based in Shanghai and Syracuse, NY, he is a founding partner and branding designer of URSIDE Design and URSIDE Hotel Shanghai—an award-winning interdisciplinary studio integrating architecture, interior design, branding, and experiential design with a focus on contextual innovation and intelligent spatial storytelling.

Wang’s diverse portfolio spans exhibition design (Decoding Eisenman: Beyond Form, 2025; Siu Siu City, 2024; Shenzhen Biennale Low-Carbon City Sub-Venue, 2022), urban interventions, co-working spaces, tech branding, conference branding, photography exhibition, fashion, and hospitality. His work has earned global recognition, including the Asia-Pacific Design Award, UN Design Award, AD 100 Young, Architecture MasterPrize, BUILD Architecture Award (Best Interdisciplinary Practice), Louis Vuitton City Guide, and Esquire New Hotels Award.

He has collaborated with China Academy of Art, Cornell University AAP, Harvard GSD, Syracuse Architecture, Urbanus, One Design, ArchMixing, Shenzhen Institute of Building Research, and Natural Build. Wang has also lectured internationally, including at Harvard GSD and Syracuse Architecture.

A graduate with distinction in Fashion Design and Industrial Design from Tsinghua University, he further honed his expertise at the Royal College of Art, London College of Fashion, and the University of Macau. His practice merges aesthetics, technology, and cultural narratives to redefine contemporary design.
