Magdalena Valdevenito (she/her) is a Chilean architect joining the School of Architecture in Fall 2023 as part-time instructor, teaching first-year architecture studios. Valdevenito has recently worked in firms in New York City and also begun her practice in Chile, focusing on a trans-scalar approach to design. She has previously taught at New Jersey Institute of Technology, and lectured at Columbia University.

Valdevenito obtained her architecture degree from Universidad Católica de Chile, as well as her master’s degree in Sustainability and Energy Efficiency. Later on, she earned a second master’s degree in Advanced Architectural Design at Columbia University.
