Matt Shaw

Matt Shaw is a New York–based author, editor, and columnist, whose work focuses on architecture as an instrument of political, social, and cultural shifts. He is the author of American Modern: Architecture, Community, Columbus, Indiana (Monacelli, 2024) and has been published in The New York Times, The Guardian, PIN-UP, Artforum, The Architectural Review, and Domus. He also teaches critical writing at UPenn, Cooper Union, and the Southern California Institute of Architecture.
