New Stories of Practice
Architectural practices have changed in multiple ways since Dana Cuff wrote the first Story of Practice three decades ago. Since then, Cuff has witnessed transformations in American firms, taught cohorts of young architects seeking new ways to work, and experimented with innovative forms of practice through cityLAB, the design research center she directs. The “new stories” of this talk stem from contemporary issues that confront the discipline, and how a range of projects and offices point the way toward architecture’s promise to shape a public, formal, humane, and urban future.
