Miami: Sea Rise and Sun Set

This talk presents the design research and scenario planning work on Miami led by Charles Waldheim and the Harvard GSD’s Office for Urbanization over the past five years. This research examines the potential for emergent urbanism in relation to the city’s unique challenges of climate adaptation including rising seas, increased storm cycles, and extreme heat events, among many others. This project forms a part of the Future of the American City initiative at the GSD.
