First things first, you must accept your admission and confirm your intent to enroll by matriculating to Syracuse University.
The matriculation deadline is April 15, 2019, unless otherwise stated on your original admission letter.
In order to matriculate, all students must:
- Sign and return your Intent to Register (ITR) card
- Pay your Advance Tuition Deposit via Myslice
Instructions for the matriculation process will be included in your formal admission packet from the Syracuse University Graduate Enrollment Management Center (International Students see below), which you should receive via email within a few weeks of receiving your admission email from the School of Architecture.
Review the checklists carefully for all of your next steps. If you have not received your formal admission email within a couple weeks, email us at email@example.com.
In order to receive your formal admission packet you must complete additional requirements.These include:
- English Proficiency*
- Academic Credentials
- Funding requirements

Note: it takes approximately 1-2 weeks to clear each condition and for the Sluzker Center to process your I-20 documents and receive your Intent to Matriculate and deposit emails. Please plan accordingly.
Syracuse University’s Graduate Enrollment Management Center will send out your official I-20 and emails, as referenced above, when all of these requires are met.
*Students who were conditionally admitted based upon English proficiency will receive information from the English Language Institute (ELI) regarding your I-20 documentation and other admissions information. You will not receive a formal admissions packet and official matriculation to Syracuse Architecture until upon completion of the ELI program.
Request your Syracuse University Identification (SU I.D.) Card
Electronically submit your own picture for your SU I.D. Card on the ID Card Services webpage.
Your SU I.D. Card will serve as your official Syracuse University identification and will provide you access to residence halls, dining centers, computer labs, library privileges, print and copy centers and the Syracuse University Bookstore.
Once your SU I.D. is created, you can pick it up on campus at Syracuse University Card Services in Steele Hall, room 206.
Graduate Student Orientation will take place from Monday, August 19, 2019 - Friday, August 23, 2019. Please arrive in Syracuse with plenty of time to acclimate to your new home. Orientation events include mandatory computer lab orientation, fabrication shop orientation, advising and receptions. Additional information and orientation schedules will be emailed to you in late summer. The first day of classes is Monday, August 26, 2019.
