Chris Baylow, AIA NCARB
Principal, Page Southerland Page

B.Arch, Syracuse University, 1988

In his role as the National Science / Technology Practice Leader at Page, Chris partners with clients and design teams to translate the needs of scientific research into the ideal physical environment. It’s a truly collaborative process of listening, synthesizing ideas, and building consensus. His goal is to arrive at design solutions that are as prototypical as the research itself. The next generation of laboratory buildings require specialization, flexibility, and sustainability. Chris believes environmentally responsible strategies like high-performing exterior envelopes and building systems and are foundational elements of a successful laboratory building.

With over 30 years of experience leading teams planning and designing research facilities at many top-tier universities and private companies, Chris speaks routinely at conferences of professional organizations such as Tradeline, SCUP, and AURP. Chris is also a leader in the Boston office, with a passion for mentoring the next generation of professionals at Page. Chris has been a member of the Syracuse Architecture Advisory Board since 2017, giving him the opportunity to collaborate with students, faculty, administration, and alums alike.
