Ali Chen


Ali Chen is a Taiwanese-American architect and brand designer with a focus on brand experiences, identities, and packaging. She practices under Ali Conchita Chen, consulting with established and emerging brands to craft impactful storytelling. Her work on promoting cactus consumption and ecological storytelling has been featured in Archinect, Designboom, Fast Company, and Good Magazine.

As an educator, Chen is an adjunct assistant professor at Pratt Institute in the Packaging, Identities, and Systems Design department. Her courses range from structural packaging to experiential retail design. She has lectured at FIT and NYIT and is an instructor for Made in NYC, a nonprofit initiative that supports local manufacturers in New York City.

Prior to teaching and consulting, Chen’s professional experiences include Bjarke Ingels Group and Nike Global Retail. She holds a Masters of Science in Packaging Design from Pratt Institute, where she was awarded the Art of Packaging Merit Award by Marc Rosen Scholarship, and a Bachelors of Architecture from the University of Southern California.
