Laura Salazar

Laura Salazar is a Peruvian architect and a co-founder of salazarsequeromedina, a collaborative architecture practice founded in 2020 with work in Peru, Spain, Korea and the US. Their work has been published in the Architectural Review, Arquitectura Viva, Revist Plot, Elle Decor, Space Magazine-Korea, Divisare, Revista A/PUCP, Revista Casas, and exhibited internationally in venues including the 2023 Seoul Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism, and the 2022 Oslo Architecture Triennale. salazarsequeromedina have been recognized with awards in several design competitions,specializing in cooperative housing and public infrastructure projects. Most recently, Salazar was part of Ecosistemas.zip, an exhibition that foregrounds the work and research of the emerging practicesf rom the generation of architects under 35 with work in Spain, and was shortlisted by Concentrico and Porto Academy together with four other practices to reimagine the public space in the streets of a central area of Logroño, Spain.

Salazar has been a Visiting Scholar at at Syracuse University and Montana State University. She has lectured in various universities and served as a guest critic at undergraduate and graduate reviews.

Salazar holds a Master of Architecture degree (2017) from Princeton University, School of Architecture. Prior to co-founding salazarsequeromedina, she worked as a Project Architect at Barkow Leibinger in Berlin (2019-2022), where she was responsible for US-based projects and contributed to award-winning design competitions.
