Steven L. Einhorn is a proven leader in developing highly profitable, rapidly growing professional service business enterprises. Einhorn’s career highlights include founding, developing and successfully selling two internationally recognized firms: one to a global private equity investment company and the other to a Fortune 50 worldwide technology leader. He served as both CEO and chairman of EYP Mission Critical Facilities and EYP Architecture and Engineering. Einhorn has been honored by his peers with election to the College of Fellows of the American Institute of Architects based upon his design accomplishments and management strategies.

Einhorn earned his bachelor’s degree in sociology from the College of Arts and Sciences in 1964 and his bachelor of architecture degree from the School of Architecture in 1967.

Einhorn has played a leadership role in a wide variety of community activities, having served on numerous boards as a member, an officer and president. These include president of the board of directors for the University Foundation of the University at Albany; president of the board of trustees for Congregation Beth Emeth; designer of the Albany Holocaust Memorial; and recipient of the David Ben Gurion Award for his commitment to Israel.

For Syracuse University, Einhorn currently chairs the Campus Framework Advisory Group, is a member of the School of Architecture’s Advisory Board and Executive Committee and the Benefactor and Visionary Gift Clubs. In 2013, Einhorn became a member of the Board of Trustees and is a member of the Student Affairs Committee.

He and his wife, Sherry (Goldberg) Einhorn ’65 (Education), reside in Boca Raton, Fla., and Delmar, N.Y., and are the parents of Richard Einhorn ’92 (College of Arts and Sciences). Einhorn’s family legacy also includes a cousin, Callie Goodman ’20 (Newhouse).
