Assistant Teaching Professor Valeria Herrera is NOMAS’ new Faculty Advisor. She will be discussing some of her recent work as well as her Latin heritage.
Herrera ’12 (B.Arch) is a Mexican American artist, architect, educator and activist who works in a variety of media including printmaking, sculpture, drawing and architectural design. She holds an MFA in Printmaking from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) and a Bachelor of Architecture professional degree from the Syracuse University School of Architecture, where she serves as a full-time Assistant Teaching Professor. Herrera’s work has been exhibited widely including at the RISD Museum, Print Austin, Il Bisonte in Florence, Italy and is held in the permanent collections of the RISD Museum and the Fleet Library.
