Located in Room 008A, adjacent to the Model Shop’s entry vestibule, the spray booth is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, when classes are in session.
The spray booth is for finishing operations involving the use of spray paints, solvents, petroleum distillate based aerosols, and any finishing materials which require adequate ventilation. These types of finishing materials are not allowed to be used anywhere else in the building.
The exhaust fan pulls 2800 CFM, and filters airborne chemical fumes and particulates from the area in front of the filters. Items to be finished should be placed within the paint booth, in range of the filters. The fume exhaust fan must be turned on. Directions for activating the exhaust fan are posted by the switch on the wall in the spray booth room.
