Katie Eggers Comeau

Katie joined the staff of Bero Architecture in 2010 as the firm’s architectural historian. She works on a range of projects including historic resource surveys, National Register nominations, and rehabilitation tax credit applications, and provides assistance to clients who want or need to achieve compliance with local, state, or federal preservation requirements.

Having grown up in a historic Erie Canal village, Katie values the walkability and amenities of traditional streetscapes and mixed-use neighborhoods.  Working on projects from the Southern Tier to the Thousand Islands, Katie loves finding out how New York’s buildings, neighborhoods, and landscapes came to be, what makes them meaningful to current residents, and how they can become even better in the future.

Katie received her Bachelor of Arts in the Humanities from Yale University in 1995 and her Master of Science in Historic Preservation from the University of Pennsylvania in 1998. She is a member of the Olmsted Parks Alliance and sits on the Five to Revive Committee of The Landmark Society of Western New York.
