The Architecture Student Organization (ASO) oversees the school’s social events and student sub-committees. Our main goal as a club is to facilitate the creation of an enjoyable environment for all architecture students and serve as a direct connection to the faculty and staff of the School of Architecture.
Events:
Our annual events include the Faculty and Staff auction, candygrams, game night, movie nights, and much more. At the end of spring semester, we plan the Beaux Arts Ball, an exciting school-wide dance with a different theme each year. We also host Midnight Market, a snack market set-up throughout the week to provide food and drinks to students.
Student Committees:
ASO appoints representatives to serve on several of the various school’s committees such as the RPT (Reappointment, Promotion, and Tenure) and the Faculty Search committees.
ASO is open to students of all grade levels. Through ASO, students have the opportunity to participate in event planning, marketing, and be in direct communication with faculty and staff. Feel free to contact us at archaso@syr.edu if you have any questions, or fill our interest form to join.
