John Washington is an Organizer and Political Educator with People’s Action. Before moving to national work, John was an Organizer and Organizing Director with PUSH, Buffalo. He worked on campaigns to pursue housing justice, climate justice, criminal justice and economic justice. John has been a part of leading national climate and housing justice legislation. He is focused on building the capacity and understanding of local leaders to catalyze lasting change, and is constructing a national campaign to redefine American public housing and to guarantee a safe, high quality, ecologically sustainable housing stock that will end homelessness.
