Supervoid is an architecture studio based in Rome, led by Anna Livia Friel, Benjamin Gallegos Gabilondo and Marco Provinciali. It works on space as a material and cultural construct, taking the physical and historical context as the starting point for each project. Mainly active in Italy, it has frequently intervened on existing buildings. The studio has completed projects in Italy, Chile, France and the United States, designing furniture, pavilions, exhibitions, apartments, shops, buildings and public spaces. Its projects and drawings have been exhibited at the Venice Biennale, the RIBA and the Triennale di Milano. Alongside their professional practice, the members of the studio are engaged in teaching and research at Italian and European universities, currently at TU Wien, Sapienza University of Rome and IED Roma. Supervoid has also curated the EUPavilion exhibition and publication.
