Kelema Lee Moses, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor of Urban Studies and Planning at the University of California, San Diego.Prior to her appointment at UC San Diego, she held a one-year Andrew W. Mellon postdoctoral fellowship at Occidental College and, subsequently, joined the faculty as an assistant professor of architectural history and urban design. Her research critically engages race, indigeneity, colonialisms, and U.S. empire in the Pacific. Her scholarship has been supported by a Getty/ACLS Postdoctoral Fellowship, the National Endowment for the Humanities, and the East-West Center at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa. Dr. Moses is a dedicated educator. She is a board member of the Global Architectural History Teaching Collaborative and was a three-time nominee for the Loftsgordon Memorial Award for Outstanding Teaching at Occidental. She received her Ph.D. and M.A. in Art History from the Pennsylvania State University and also holds a B.A. in Art History and Politics from the University of Virginia.
