Dear Syracuse Architecture 2020 Graduates,
We very much look forward to seeing you at the Syracuse University Commencement and Welcome Back to Campus on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in the Stadium.
The School of Architecture will host an event to welcome you and your families back to Slocum Hall on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 5:30 p.m.
While we are not able to host a convocation ceremony, as we normally do in Hendricks Chapel, we will host a “Thesis Drop” and Reception in Slocum Hall.
The “Drop” will occur at the Orange Grove at 5:30 p.m. See this map [PDF] of the campus with your designated drop site indicated.
Faculty and Staff will meet you and your families and present you with Class of 2020 tote bags filled with 2020 Thesis Books, a 2020 Yearbook, a Convocation brochure and a pen. We hope you will enjoy meeting your classmates as well as former professors and staff members. We hope you will sign each other’s Yearbooks and also asked faculty and staff to sign.
After everyone has met for the “Drop” at the Orange Grove, we will proceed to Slocum Hall for the reception and Dean’s Welcome and Recognition of Graduates.
The schedule for Saturday’s Welcome Back to Slocum is as follows:
Saturday, September 18
- 5:30 p.m. - “Thesis Drop” at the Orange Grove
- 6:15 p.m. - Reception at Slocum Hall
- 6:30 p.m. - Dean’s Welcome and Recognition of Graduates
Masks are currently required of all students, staff, faculty and visitors (vaccinated and unvaccinated) indoors at all times and outdoors when in the presence of others.
