Jiwon Shin

Jiwon Shin is the founder of SHINOH, an architecture and branding studio based in Seoul, South Korea. Traveling between Seoul and New York, she worked as a designer at renowned architecture offices such as Carlos Zapata, Studio Daniel Libeskind and Lifethings. Her curiosity and passion for the fashion industry and product manufacture led her to join the global branding team at Gentle Monster. Three years later, in summer 2020, Shin independently began creating work under the alias SHINOH. Her personal history of frequent international re-locating, in combination of her studies in architecture at the Pratt Institute School of Architecture, has planted the seed for the vision and goals for SHINOH.

Driven to stimulate, enrich, and create larger frequencies along global cultural exchanges through architecture and design, SHINOH is a small group of designers with diverse background of specialties in metal craft, space design, graphic design and architecture. Currently, SHINOH is expanding their list of work across the world not limited to Seoul, New York and Paris. Since 2019, the group has successfully launched the Gordon Ramsay restaurant business in its branding and architecture, continuously worked with them for four restaurants including Street Burger by Gordon Ramsay in Seoul, Incheon and Suwon. SHINOH has also created the first Busan flagship for the Korean viral dessert brand, Knotted. The studio’s projects include notable and award-winning projects such as KREAM Lotte showroom, VIVER flagship, and Positive Hotel. Most recently, a cult favorite k-beauty brand, Fwee Agit was launched under the creative direction between the brand and SHINOH, a store that has brought a new wave of excitement and energy to the k-beauty scene.
