Marina Montresor is an architect by training, a visual artist by desire, and a writer by necessity. These three realms come together in her doctoral thesis, Synecdoche, Los Angeles which she is carrying out between Zurich and Los Angeles under the supervision of Prof. François Charbonnet.
In parallel, Marina works from and on a very old apartment in Florence, teaches with Davide Spina the diploma unit for the Chair Charbonnet-Heiz + Stalder at the ETH Zurich and – when feeling too far from the action – engages in competitions and projects.
Born and raised in Italy, Marina graduated in 2017 from the Accademia di Architettura di Mendrisio. She has worked for Christian Kerez in Zurich and Made In in Geneva and is the co-editor of Defining Criteria (Quart Verlag, 2018).
In 2022 she taught as guest professor at the TU Wien.
Marina is founder and board member of c/o bardi.
