Monorail
Walt Disney’s dreams come true through the ‘City of Tomorrow’ which is more than only an amusement park. There are several issues that need to be addressed in order to become the utopia such as untidy, full of garbage and usually operated by uncontrolled system. Disney wanted to complement the lack of control issues and also he dreamed to create an interaction between entertainment and our lives in a new wonderland, aka ‘EPCOT’. Monorail is one of the most unique and innovative systems and technologies to control congestion, safety and other utilities. Basically, the monorail links between the Vacation Kingdom and officially called EPCOT Center, the complex which is located at the heart of Walt Disney World.1 The monorail whisks visitors noiselessly from parking lots to the theme park and right into the lobby of the contemporary resort hotel.2 The monorail reduce not only air pollution but also noise in Disney world. Also, the all truck route, utilities and service facilities pass under the monorail. The dream city looks as if perfect utopia under the technological and well-planned control. We love technology and still dream realization of utopia with high technology as like he does. Disney indeed relied on technology to actualize his cartoons and generate real scene of his imagination at that time.
