Spring 2019 finds numerous changes for Syracuse Architecture Interview Day. The University transitioned from OrangeLink (Simplicity) to Handshake in July 2018 and the Schine Student Center is undergoing renovations requiring us to limit interview days and opt for interview booths.
To reach the broadest range of talent, it is imperative that a firm creates a profile on Handshake, posts job opportunities with current job descriptions, and request to interview on campus at your earliest convenience.
For step-by-step instructions, please email email@example.com, and request “Instructions for Requesting On-Campus Interviews”. The helpful guide details each step of the process.
Once your request is received, we will confirm available space and review your request. A confirmation email will be sent, including logistical details such as room reservations, parking, meals, and the Thursday evening Q&A with students.
Handshake steps to recruitment
On-campus recruitment at the School of Architecture for summer interns and entry-level graduates consists of three steps:
- Creating a Handshake account,
- Posting job opportunities with current job descriptions, and
- Requesting to interview on campus.
Recruiters may review applicants’ documents throughout the application process. A resume packet will be sent once the application deadline has passed to all contacts listed on the job description. Recruiters have a set period of time, to review the applications and select students they wish to interview, as well as an alternate list. Students will be notified and may accept or decline the interview. If a student declines, alternate students may fill the slot, on a first-come, first-served basis. Several days before Interview Day the schedule closes and students are no longer able to sign-up, decline, or withdraw their application.
