Justin Gallagher is an architectural designer based in Brooklyn.  He studied Architecture and Philosophy at MIT before earning a Master’s in Architecture with Distinction from the Harvard Graduate School of Design where he was awarded the Araldo A. Cossutta Annual Prize for Design Excellence.  He has experience working at prominent architecture firms such as Para-Project and Johnston Marklee. He is currently a Senior Designer at WOJR where he has contributed to the practice intermittently since 2011 before joining the team full-time in 2019.  At WOJR, he has worked on several award-winning projects at a variety of scales and across all phases of a project’s development.

His interests in representation have led him to research and develop new techniques for visualization with the aim of expanding the modes for architectural imagination in the design process.  He has been a guest critic at several universities including Pratt, Northeastern, MIT, and Harvard GSD as well as assisted William O’Brien Jr. with graduate-level Option Studios at MIT in 2022 and 2023.
