Seaside Adaptations: A Studio Workshop with the University of Miami
This workshop is part of an ongoing teaching collaboration between Syracuse University and the University of Miami that examines the role of architecture in coastal urban resilience and civic life. Participants will discuss ways to design for institutional spaces, public trust, and climate resilience in Governors Island’s historic landscape and buildings. Students will share their precedent studies and site analyses and attend the NYC Climate Week’s “Absorb, Adapt, Thrive: Nature-Based Infrastructure for Coastal Resilience” symposium.
