Architecture Interview Blitz Days are back! This year’s signature in-person recruiting event is scheduled for Thursday, March 2nd and Friday, March 3rd from 8:30 AM – 5:15 PM at the Schine Student Center, located right on campus.
For Students: Employers will be interviewing students for both job and internship positions. Interview spots are based on a screening and selection process. Applications go live in Handshake on February 1st and close on February 15th (11:55 pm). SoA Career Services will email current students more information in January.
Advising Appointments: We have increased the number of available 30-minute student appointment slots and offer both day and evening times. Students may schedule a career advising appointment directly through Handshake. These appointments may be conducted in-person, Zoom or by phone.
Career Workshops: We host career workshops in-person and a virtual format utilizing ZOOM. All workshops will be listed and promoted through the Events tab on Handshake. Keyword: ARCH.
Career Resources: Students can find handouts and career preparation resources to guide them through every step of the job/internship search process under the Career Center tab on their Handshake homepage. Type in the keyword: Architecture.

Resume & Cover Letter Reviews: Students who would like a review of their resume or cover letter can email their documents to firstname.lastname@example.org. We will do our best to respond back within 24 business hours.
SoA Career Services Channel: We archive recordings of previous workshops and events on our Kaltura Channel. Students with an SU NetID can subscribe here.
Industry Insights & Career Conversations: Our featured employer and alumni guests share their insight and expertise regarding the field of architecture, industry trends and career paths. Events will be promoted on Handshake.
Portfolio Reviews: We collaborate with alumni and employers to offer portfolio reviews (mainly via Zoom but occasionally in-person). These 30-minute timeslots offer a great opportunity for students to gain technical feedback on their portfolio from industry professionals.
Alumni Mentoring Program: Alumni volunteers are available for career conversations with students via Firsthand. Please email email@example.com with any questions.
Career Services Express/Office Hours: We offer regular Career Services Express sessions (drop-in sessions) which will be promoted via Handshake.
LinkedIn Learning: LinkedIn offers a variety of webinars and training videos on a wide array of topics such as building your personal brand, networking, virtual interviewing, etc. Log-in here: LinkedIn Learning.
GoinGlobal Country Career Guides: Are you looking for industry information outside of the US? Searching for a position in your home country? Country specific search tips are available through GoinGlobal.
Big Interview: Big Interview is a tool available to all Syracuse University students interested in practicing their interview skills. Videotape your responses and receive immediate feedback. Utilize a pre-made industry specific interview or create one of your own using Big Interview. Completed interviews can be shared to firstname.lastname@example.org for additional feedback from the Architecture Career Services team.
Candidate Interviews: Candidate Interviews connect firms with pre-selected candidates for full time and internship positions and is managed through the Handshake platform.
Connie Caldwell Summer Internship Award: Created in partnership with the deGraffenried Foundation, this fund is awarded to one full-time student at the School each summer to assist with expenses associated with an internship including (but not limited to) living expenses, housing, food and utilities. Applications open in early spring.
