Operations

Masks and face coverings

All students, faculty, staff and visitors while in Slocum Hall are required to wear face masks or face coverings. You can wear your own cloth face covering or the masks provided to you upon your return to campus. Cloth face coverings should be washed between each use.

Face shields cannot be used instead of face masks. They do not cover the mouth and nose in the same way as face masks. They can be used as an additional level of protection, but not instead of face masks.

If you have an underlying health condition that precludes you from wearing a mask, you may request a reasonable accommodation through the Office of Equal Opportunity, Inclusion and Resolution Services.

Please see Beth Pierson in the Dean’s Suite (Room 204) if you need an emergency, back-up mask.

Social distancing and elevator use

Always practice social distancing; keep six feet apart from others.

One student will be allowed in the elevator at a time. Use the stairways as much as possible to eliminate a wait.

Cleaning and disinfecting your workspace

Frequent cleaning and disinfecting of surfaces are key to reduce the risk of exposure to COVID-19 on campus. Wipe down your desk and chair before leaving using the sanitizing wipes in the stations located outside of classrooms.

In-person instructors will be equipped with emergency sanitation and safety equipment.

Food and drink

Food and drink are not allowed in the classrooms or studios at any time.

Trash and recycling

Be mindful of not leaving any type of garbage or recycling out on your desk. If you cannot locate a proper receptacle, please see Beth Pierson in the Dean’s Suite (Room 204).

Signage

We must all do our part to protect ourselves and each other. Be aware of the COVID precaution signage located throughout Slocum Hall reminding you how to help keep our campus safe for everyone.
