Resources available to students while away from campus:

  • Career Resources
    You can find handouts and career preparation resources to guide you through every step of the job/internship search process under the Career Center tab on your Handshake homepage. Type in the keyword: Architecture.
  • Bi-Weekly Career Newsletter
    We will continue to send our monthly newsletter on a bi-weekly basis throughout the pandemic. The newsletters will continue to provide announcements, job search tips, upcoming virtual events and posting deadlines. 
  • Quick Questions
    You can always email us with quick questions at We will do our best to get your answers within 24 business hours.  
  • Resume & Cover Letter Reviews
    Would you like a review of your resume updates or cover letter? Email your document to We will respond back within 24 business hours. 
  • Advising Appointments
    We have increased the number of available 30-minute student appointment slots, including offering evening hours. Students may schedule a career advising appointment directly through Handshake. These appointments may be conducted via phone, FaceTime, WeChat, Microsoft Teams or Zoom.  
  • Career Workshops
    We will host career workshops in a virtual format. All workshops will be listed and promoted through the Events tab on Handshake.
  • Alumni Conversations
    We will be hosting virtual alumni panels and ‘coffee chats’ to discuss the current hiring challenges facing our top employer partners and hiring teams. Events will be promoted on Handshake.

  • LinkedIn Learning
    LinkedIn offers webinars and training videos on a wide variety of topics such as building your personal brand, networking, virtual interviewing, etc. Log-in here: LinkedIn Learning.

  • GoinGlobal Country Career Guides
    Are you looking for industry information outside of the US?  Searching for a position in your home country? Country specific search tips are available through GoinGlobal.

  • Big Interview
    Big Interview is a tool available to all Syracuse University students interested in practicing their interview skills. Videotape your responses and receive immediate feedback. Utilize a pre-made industry specific interview or create one of your own using Big Interview. Completed interviews can be shared to for additional feedback from the Architecture Career Services team.
