Teaching responsibilities include design studios at the undergraduate or graduate level, and elective or core lecture courses in either building systems and technology, media and communication, or digital fabrication. In addition to teaching in a diverse academic environment, faculty responsibilities include undergraduate and graduate thesis advising, as well as service to the department, the college, the university, and the greater community.

Qualifications

Successful candidates must possess professional experience in architectural design and demonstrate a record of recognized research including built work, theoretical explorations, creative work and/or scholarship in the form of grants, publications and exhibitions. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to integrate their research interests, creative work or professional practice in teaching. All members of the faculty are expected to be actively engaged in scholarship or creative work.

A professional degree in architecture and an advanced degree in architecture or another relevant field is required. Professional registration is encouraged. Salary is negotiable and commensurate with experience. Syracuse University provides a generous benefits and relocation package.
