“As a mentor and leader in our organization, I have a responsibility to grow the next generation.” ~Peter King.

King + King Architects is a fifth generation family run business that focuses on designing sustainable relationships. Pete is a proud alumnus of Syracuse University, graduating in 1977 with a Bachelor of Architecture and is a licensed architect in New York, Pennsylvania and Indiana.  As King + King celebrates 150 years of continuous service, Pete takes great satisfaction in being a fifth generation leader at the oldest architecture firm in NY State.

His personal commitment to improving the quality of life in CNY and his passion for environmental responsibility has led the firm to focus its energies towards sustainable design practices.  In 2007, under Pete’s direction, the firm relocated their headquarters to an existing 1913 structure on the Near West Side and the project was designated the first LEED Platinum building in Syracuse, NY.

This commitment is also evidenced by his service on the Syracuse Center of Excellence’s Board of Directors and his appointment as Chairman. He takes gratification in being a past member and chairman of the SUNY Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital board of Advisors helping the hospital on fund raising, advocacy, patient satisfaction and community connections and is a current board member and past chairman of Onondaga Community College Foundation.

He has been given the opportunity to speak for organizations such as, Syracuse Center of Excellence Symposiums, the International Healthy Buildings, ASHRAE and Advanced Energy conferences and many local CNY groups.
