Farid Aziz and Nicolas Rugamba arrived in Syracuse this past August to study at the School of Architecture for the year. Both students are from the Kigali Institute of Science and Technology (KIST), the first public technological institute of higher learning in Rwanda. Assistant Professor Yutaka Sho, who has taught at KIST and worked extensively in Rwanda, helped organize this opportunity along with Acting Dean Randall Korman and Vice President of Enrollment Management Don Saleh. This opportunity was made possible with support from Syracuse University. Airfare for both students was generously provided by Turkish Airlines.
