Celebrate our diverse student body with discussions about the interface of architectural thinking and place.
Speakers
- Anna Korneeva (Russia), BArch
- Kojo Quainoo (Ghana), MArch
- Yagmur Yenice (Turkey), MS
The three speakers, representing the BArch, MArch and MS programs, will each give a 12-15 minute lecture about the influential distinguishing characteristics—architectural and otherwise—of their “hometown.”
It may be a cultural convention, or the colors of buildings, or the sound of birdsong. Maybe it’s the din of traffic, the ornamental structure of a bridge, or and the way water drains on the street after a storm.
How might this place, your “home”, impact your approach to studying architecture?
How might you bring your roots to bear on our community?
Refreshments will be served.
