Over the last year, Syracuse Architecture NYC has conducted a series of design and research studios that respond to Mayor de Blasio’s affordable housing plan. This summer Syracuse Architecture has partnered with Nadine Maleh, Executive Director of the Institute for Public Architecture and Quilian Riano of DSGN AGNC, to develop the NextGeneration NYCHA Van Dyke Houses RFP. Under their direction, students have designed nine unique proposals and have produced a comprehensive body of research on NYC public housing.
