SOA Convocation ’15 - Richard Gluckman, speaker

Hendricks Chapel, 9am

The Syracuse University School of Architecture will recognize Class of 2015 undergraduate and graduate degree candidates and present special awards at this ceremony to be held in Hendricks Chapel. Class Marshals Christina Hoover and Robert Alan Moldafsky will lead the procession.

  • Degree candidates are required to wear a cap and gown.
  • Hendricks Chapel is wheelchair accessible.
  • Tickets are not necessary to attend this event.
  • A light reception will follow in Slocum Hall Atrium where students and their guests have the opportunity to celebrate with faculty. An exhibition of selected thesis projects will be on display in the Marble Room.
  • Syracuse Architecture has contracted with a professional photographer from Genesee Photo Systems to take pictures of each grad as he/she receives a certificate of recognition. Images will be posted online on the Genesee Photo Systems website within the following week and available for purchase.

Richard Gluckman
Richard Gluckman FAIA received his Bachelor of Architecture in 1970 and Master of Architecture in 1971 from Syracuse Architecture. He is a founder and principal of award-winning Gluckman Mayner Architects in New York City. Gluckman has been a visiting critic at Harvard Graduate School of Design, Syracuse Architecture, and Parsons School of Design and is a member of the Syracuse Architecture Advisory Board. Internationally known as the “Artist’s Architect,” Gluckman’s work is closely aligned with the world of art and design, creating distinctive spaces for numerous art galleries and museums, and developing installations with contemporary artists. Gluckman’s work at Syracuse University includes Dineen Hall, the new home of the School of Law, and The Nancy Cantor Warehouse in Armory Square.
